NTG Annual Conference

The annual conferences of the NTG for 2021 and 2022 were not held due to pandemic restrictions.
The 7th annual conference of the NTG was to be held on Friday, June 5, 2020, at the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown Hotel in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, as part of the AADMD Conference (running June 4-6, 2020). The conference was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and meeting restrictions.
The 6th annual conference of the NTG was held on Friday, May 10, 2019, as part of the AADMD Conference (held May 10-12, 2019) in Rochester, New York. The NTG and local organizers also held a Leadership Forum on Dementia and Intellectual Disability on Thursday, May 9th at the CP Rochester's Center. A special meeting on a cooperative endeavor between the USA and Canada was held on Sunday, May 12th. Abstracts from the 2019 NTG program track.
The 5th annual conference of the NTG was held on Friday, June 29, 2018, as part of the AADMD Conference (held June 29-30 and July 1) at the Marriott Seattle Waterfront Hotel. The NTG sponsored a morning plenary which included Dr. Roy I. Brown (University of Victoria), Dr. Lilian Thorpe (Saskatchewan Health Services), and Dr. Sarah Lenz Lock (AARP), as speakers, and managed an afternoon individual paper track on aging and dementia. The NTG also sponsored a half-day workshop at the King County ARC on using the NTG-EDSD as a shared decision-making tool to screen and define care of aging adults with intellectual disability and dementia on June 27th, and participated in a collaborative community forum on dementia and intellectual disability, sponsored by the Washington State Developmental Disabilities Council, on June 28th held at the SEA-TAC Airport Conference Room. The NTG's annual business meeting was held on Saturday, June 30th at the Marriott Hotel. (Abstracts are unavailable)
The 4th annual conference was held June 4, 2017, at the Cooley Center of the Dental School of the University of Texas-Houston on the campus of the Houston Medical Center in Houston, Texas. The NTG hosted a plenary session on dementia and Down syndrome on Saturday, June 4th, with key speaker, Dr. Ann-Charlotte ("Lotta") Granholm-Bentley, the founding executive director of the Knoebel Institute for Healthy Aging at the University of Denver. The 3rd annual NTG conference was held July 8, 2016 at the Swissotel Chicago, Illinois, as part of the annual conference of the American Academy of Developmental Medicine and Dentistry. For abstracts of 3rd NTG conference sessions.
